Used to remove and prevent lime scale and water spots on glassware, drain boards, fountains, steam tables, coffee urns, stainless steel, mechanical dishwashers, counters, dispensers, and napkin holders. Also for destaining china, plastic cups, plastic plates, silver, and aluminum. Dilute 2 oz. per gallon of water for use.

Manual Glass, Equipment, and Utensil Washing:

DEPENDING ON THE WATER HARDNESS, USE FROM 1/2 TO 1 OUNCE D-LIME-X PER THREE GALLONS OF WATER IN THE FIRST TANK.

  1. Equipment and utensils should be pre-flushed and, when necessary, presoaked to remove gross food particles and soil.
  2. Glass, utensils, and equipment should be washed in water having a minimum temperature of 110°F/43°C and containing the prescribed dilution of D-Lime-X. Water should be kept clean by changing it frequently.
  3. Equipment and utensils should then be rinsed free of detergents and abrasives with clean water.
  4. Following washing and rinsing, all utensils and equipment should be sanitized by immersion in a solution of Steramine® or Hypo-Chlor Formula 6.40 for at least 2 minutes or for contact time observed by governing sanitation code.
  5. After sanitation, all equipment and utensils shall be air-dried. NO POTABLE WATER RINSE is permitted.

General Cleaning and Limescale Removal:

Make up a solution by adding 2 fluid ounces D-Lime-X to one gallon water. Use for general clean-up of restaurant fixtures by wiping on solution, then wiping off with a clean dry towel.

D-Lime-X can be used full strength for the removal of lime deposits from mechanical dishwashers, drain boards, and other equipment. Soak for 10 to 15 minutes, then brush and rinse.
